Anticipation Builds for the ‘Rhythm & Vine’ Music, Wine and Food Extravaganza

[cincopa AgIA566T-AWN]

Sunday, June 23, 2013 will usher in the 5th annual Rhythm & Vine festival – a 3-hour music, wine and food extravaganza benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego. This year’s highly anticipated event, to be hosted by esteemed local Chef Brian Malarkey of BRAVO TV Top Chef fame, kicks off at 5:00 p.m. downtown at the Broadway Pier.

Along with more than 30 world-class wine and spirits purveyors and over 30 of San Diego’s top eateries offering culinary delights of every sort, the one-of-a-kind event will also have the crowd on its feet with live music performances.  Rhythm & Vine will also feature a wine and lifestyle silent auction help support The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, which assists more than 25,000 youth every year through multiple facilities and school-site programs throughout the region. Funds raised at the event allow the organization to continue to serve and to expand its services for local at-risk youth.  For more than 67 years, the venerable organization has been committed to serving area children ages 5-18 in need.

Each year Rhythm & Vine boasts wineries from some of the premier wine-producing regions in the nation, including Napa Valley, Paso Robles, and Temecula and others. For those who are not wine connoisseurs but still fancy a cocktail, craft breweries and spirits companies will also be on site offing an array of elixirs. Pairing nicely with the copious drink selections will be all-you-can-eat sample-size gourmet bites from scores of San Diego’s leading restaurants.

Individual tickets for Rhythm & Vine cost $125 for General Admission, or $40 for designated driver “non alcoholic” tickets for those who just plan to eat, enjoy the music and leave the imbibing to others. Group ticket packages are also available.

Rhythm & Vine will let you wine, dine and dance while giving back to an organization that provides tremendous support for the youth of San Diego. Learn more and purchase tickets online atwww.rhythmandvinefestival.org.
